Fully Remote - Work from anywhere!

Hi! We're Search Atlas, a SaaS B2B company focused on engineering products and services that help businesses improve their performance on Google. We are a rapidly growing organization with clients from Fortune 500 companies to leading Silicon Valley tech startups.

About the Role

Search Atlas is a leading AI-powered SEO automation platform for agencies and brands. Our product suite includes Atlas Brain, a conversational SEO agent capable of executing tasks across more than sixty integrated tools, and OTTO, an autonomous agent that handles technical fixes, content optimization, on-site deployments, and Google Ads campaigns end-to-end. The platform consolidates what has traditionally required a fragmented stack of point tools into a single, unified system spanning keyword research, content generation, rank tracking, site auditing, backlink analysis, Google Business Profile management at scale, LLM visibility tracking, and more. We are hiring Senior Full-Stack Engineers across every product team.

The Mission: Beyond Syntax, Into Product Ownership

Search Atlas is moving beyond suggestions and into full execution. In the era of agentic AI, the mechanical act of writing code has become a commodity, and the engineers we hire are expected to operate well beyond it. This is not a role for ticket-takers.

You will join a high-leverage, cross-functional pod - 1 Product Manager, 1 Designer, and 2–3 Product Engineers - operating on an agentic development model in which a single senior engineer, supported by Claude Code and parallel Git worktrees, delivers the throughput historically associated with an entire team. Our organizational structure mirrors the product itself: autonomous, agentic, and outcome-driven.

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will own features end-to-end - from database schema to shipped UI - across any of our product surfaces, including Atlas Brain, OTTO, Content Genius, Site Explorer, Rank Tracker, and GBP Galactic. The stack is Python, Django REST Framework, Celery, and PostgreSQL on the backend; React, Next.js, and TypeScript on the frontend; with Sentry and the Grafana Stack (LGTM - Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir) for observability. Instrumentation and reliability are treated as first-class concerns, not afterthoughts.

We are looking for engineers who are equally comfortable architecting a new service, reviewing a peer's pull request, diagnosing a production incident, reshaping a product specification before implementation begins, and operating at high throughput alongside agentic tooling.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development:

Build and maintain scalable Django applications using modern Python 3.x practices, Django REST Framework, and Celery for background task processing.

Frontend Development:

Design and implement interactive UIs using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, ensuring fast, responsive, and accessible user experiences across the product.

API Design & Implementation:

Design and maintain RESTful APIs with clear contracts, consistent pagination, and strong validation, and consume them from the frontend with predictable data-fetching and caching patterns.

UI Engineering:

Translate high-fidelity Figma designs into clean, semantic HTML/CSS and modular, reusable React components that plug into our shared design system.

Database Operations:

Work with PostgreSQL in production environments, ensuring schema performance, efficient indexing, and optimized queries. Familiarity with Elasticsearch or ClickHouse is a plus.

Performance Optimization:

Identify bottlenecks across the stack - from N+1 queries and slow Celery tasks to oversized bundles and janky renders - and use tools like Django Debug Toolbar, Lighthouse, Web Vitals, and DevTools to measure and improve them.

Observability & Monitoring:

Instrument APIs, background jobs, and frontend flows for performance and error tracking using Sentry. Collaborate with DevOps to leverage the Grafana Stack (LGTM - Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir) dashboards for system monitoring and incident analysis.

Testing & Code Quality:

Write robust unit and integration tests on both sides of the stack, practice TDD where it fits, and ensure adherence to PEP8 / Flake8 on the backend and the team's linting and type-checking standards on the frontend. Participate in peer reviews and CI pipelines with quality gates.

Product Partnership:

Engage in product discussions from the earliest stage - not only scope and estimation, but the shape of the feature itself. Constructively challenge requirements that do not hold up under scrutiny, propose alternative approaches where a stronger one exists, and partner with Product and Design to arrive at the right thing to build. Every specification is treated as a hypothesis to validate rather than an instruction to execute without question.

Collaboration & Delivery:

Work closely with product managers, designers, QA, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end features on time and to spec. Own technical solutions and provide input on architectural decisions that span backend and frontend concerns.

Scalability & Ownership:

Refactor complex logic, optimize task queues and data-fetching layers, and ensure both the API and the UI can scale under real customer load.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience shipping production web applications across the full stack

  • Demonstrated product mindset, with a track record of reshaping, descoping, or challenging requirements that did not hold up under scrutiny, and of proposing stronger alternatives

  • AI-native fluency, with demonstrated proficiency in using Claude Code, Cursor, and agentic development frameworks as a primary interface for day-to-day engineering work

  • Strong proficiency with Python 3, Django, and Django REST Framework

  • Strong proficiency with React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS

  • Solid understanding of REST principles, Django's request lifecycle, and frontend architecture, state management, and performance best practices

  • Production experience with PostgreSQL (no MySQL)

  • Experience with task queues using Celery

  • Experience working with design systems and reusable UI component libraries

  • Proficiency in testing, including pytest on the backend, with a clear grasp of test coverage best practices on both sides

  • Familiarity with Docker Compose for local development

  • Experience building mobile-responsive and cross-browser-compatible interfaces

  • Experience with monitoring and error tracking tools like Sentry and the Grafana Stack (LGTM - Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir)

  • Comfortable in a Git-based Scrum workflow, using GitLab or similar platforms, with CI/CD and Agile delivery

  • Comfortable working in a cloud-based development environment (GCP or AWS a plus)

  • Strong communication and debugging skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ClickHouse or Elasticsearch

  • Familiarity with OpenAPI or DRF Spectacular for auto-generating API docs

  • Knowledge of caching strategies and async processing at scale

  • Experience with end-to-end testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright)

  • Familiarity with GraphQL and headless CMSs

  • Exposure to analytics and event tracking (e.g., Segment, Amplitude)

  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)

  • Exposure to Kubernetes-based infrastructure (managed by our DevOps team)

  • Interest in system-level performance tuning and profiling

  • Contributions to open-source, design systems, or frontend tooling

  • Comfort working directly in Figma to inspect specs, extract tokens, and collaborate with designers on handoff

Skills & Competencies

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

  • Proactive problem-solver who anticipates issues before they arise

  • Ability to maintain composure and prioritize during high-pressure situations

  • Strong follow-through and accountability

  • Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset

  • Adaptable and comfortable with changing priorities

  • Uncompromising commitment to quality — you don't ship work you wouldn't be proud of, and you raise the standard for everyone around you

Our Recruitment Process

  • Step 1: Initial screening call with our recruitment team

  • Step 2: Assessment

  • Step 3: Final interview with our Hiring Manager

  • Step 4: Offer extended
