AGRILAND FS is looking for a DOT Safety Specialist. This individual is responsible for delivering driver training in compliance with federal, state and company regulations as well as establishing/ promoting safety policies and procedures.

Core Responsibilities

• Conducts driver facing training and testing in classroom, one on one and hands on settings
• Conducts location team training at each location
• Maintains accurate records of attendance, class completions, evaluations and coaching systems in the appropriate systems
• Performs safety related functions including but not limited to, accident reviews and skills and behavior assessments
• Coaches and counsels team membersin collaboration with Safety and Regulatory Manager, Director of Operations, Operations Managers and Location Managers for violations of DOT regulations, safety standards and company policies
• Conducts on-road tests and other evaluations with team members to determine if meeting safety, DOT, FMCSR and company regulations and policies
• Models safe behaviors and professional interactions
• Manages accident prevention, injury prevention and terminal compliance
• Emphasizes safety concepts, principles and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to train, coach and evaluate knowledge and skills
• Ability to implement new driver facing programs
• Ability to learn and use technology as needed
• Ability to obatin CCE program certifcation
• Strong presentation and classroom instruction and facilitation skills
• Deep understanding of DOT regulations
• Requires a Class A CDL with Hazmat, tanker, air brakes, doubles and triples endorsements
• Must have a minimum of two years of driving experience while holding all licenses and endorsements
• Ability to travel and stay out overnight for multiple nights
• Must be able to lift 50 - 75 pounds, must be able to climb, pull, reach and walk over simple obstacles
