Position Details

Camp Directors and Assistant Directors are responsible for overseeing and supervising both participants and staff, while collaborating closely with parents and administrative staff.

  • Camp Dates: June 22 – August 21, 2026 (training begins June 16)
  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, variable hours, mornings to early afternoons, up to 26 hours per week dependent on camp enrollment.
  • Location: Camp Rivendale  – 8385 SW Grabhorn Rd,  Beaverton, Oregon 97007
  • Responsibilities: Supervise and lead activities for campers aged 6–20 experiencing disabilities in an outdoor recreation setting
  • Work Conditions: Outdoor work; adherence to safety standards required

Camp Rivendale Assistant Director – $22.21/hour (30 hours/week)

  • Develops and implements assigned recreation programs, classes, or activities
  • Works independently within established guidelines to coordinate, supervise, and instruct day-to-day activities
  • Create an inclusive and satisfying camp atmosphere for all participants
  • Provides lead direction to assigned part-time staff and/or volunteers
  • Focuses on one program area and/or provides support to Camp Directors

The hiring rate for this position is $22.21. The full hourly range for this job classification is $22.21 to $25.04. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.


Camp Rivendale Director – $23.32–$24.79/hour (35 hours/week)

  • Develops and implements assigned recreation programs
  • Works independently within established guidelines to coordinate, supervise, and instruct day-to-day activities.
  • Point person for behavioral interventions, ensuring all camper safety and provide basic first aid if necessary.
  • Creates an inclusive and satisfying camp atmosphere for all participants.
  • Provides lead directions to assigned part-time staff and volunteers.

The hiring range for this position is $23.32 to $24.79 per hour, based on experience and internal equity. The full hourly range for this job classification is $23.32 to $26.29. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.

Requirements: 

  • First Aid and CPR certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Must be 18 years or older by May 1, 2026
  • Must have experience working with youth and people with disabilities
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record may be required
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors, rain or shine.


Scheduling

We are hiring for year-round positions and seasonal positions. Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year. Seasonal employees may be scheduled up to 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of 6 consecutive months.

Hours are typically scheduled Monday – Friday, between 7:30am and 6pm. Seasonal employment will be scheduled focusing on the week of June 15 and continue through September 1.
