Job Description:

The Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance operations and ensuring that financial data is accurate, timely, and compliant with internal controls and relevant regulations. This role involves working across key accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and tax compliance. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• AP & Disbursements: Process/verify invoices (matching POs and receiving reports), manage vendor accounts to ensure timely payments, and handle employee expense liquidations. 

• General Ledger: Prepare and post monthly journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and adjustments. 

• Tax & Compliance: Assist in preparing certificates of taxes withheld (Form 2307) and ensuring VAT/withholding tax compliance. 

• Audit & Controls: Maintain organized records for internal/external audits and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 

• Ad-Hoc Support: Collaborate with departments to resolve billing discrepancies and support special accounting projects. 

Qualifications: 

• Graduate of BS Accountancy or any accounting-related course. 

• Minimum 1 year of Accounting experience preferred; high-performing fresh graduates are welcome. 

• Strong grasp of AP, GL, and account reconciliation. 

• • Knowledge of Philippine tax compliance (VAT/Withholding). 

• • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software is a plus. 

• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail. 

• Amenable to a hybrid set-up in Ayala, Makati.
