Description

The South Shore YMCA Early Learning Center is currently seeking to fill the position of Pre-K Teacher. This is a full time position requiring Monday through Friday availability.

• Successful candidates must be licensed as a Pre-K Teacher by the Massachusetts’ Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). A degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred but NOT required.
• Successful candidates should provide community leadership for family and child development, encourage life-long learning in students, promote and commit to the YMCA’s core values: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
• This position works under the general supervison of the Early Learning Center Director and Assistant Director and is responsible for curriculum planning and development, supervision and education of children, and family engagement in the Preschool classroom.

Requirements

All teachers employed by the South Shore YMCA Early Learning Center will be required to successfully complete the following trainings, including, but not limited to: New Employee Orientation, Emergency Procedures, Child Abuse Prevention and Reporting, and CPR/First Aid. Teachers will also be required to register their Professional Qualifications and keep this site updated.
