Description

 The Residential Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a group home serving adults with developmental disabilities (IDD/DD). This role ensures compliance with DBHDD standards, supervises Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and promotes a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. 

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop DSP staff to ensure quality care 
• Ensure implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and person-centered practices 
• Maintain compliance with DBHDD, DHS, and organizational policies 
• Oversee staff schedules, staffing coverage, and daily operations 
• Monitor medication administration and health-related supports 
• Ensure proper documentation, incident reporting, and data tracking 
• Participate in ISP, IDT, and other interdisciplinary team meetings 
• Support individuals with community integration and meaningful activities 
• Utilize approved de-escalation and behavioral support techniques 
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive residential environment

Requirements

 Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s preferred in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field) 
• 2+ years' experience in developmental disabilities, group home, or direct care 
• 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred 
• Knowledge of person-centered care and ISP processes 
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• CPR / First Aid 
• Medication Administration 
• De-escalation / Behavioral Intervention Training
• Must be 21 years or older 
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable MVR 
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and TB test 
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs 
• Reliable transportation
