Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist
Full-Time | On-Site | Santa Barbara, CA
The Salary Range for this Position is: $27–$32/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
We’re looking for a detail‑driven Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our Finance team with timely collections, accurate billing, and strong communication across departments. If you’re organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple financial workflows, this role is for you.
*This position requires 40 hours per week on‑site at our Santa Barbara office. We are prioritizing candidates who are already local to the area.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities
- Answer A/R calls and emails promptly
- Process and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Send A/R requests and update Monday.com threads
- Maintain the A/R dashboard and complete weekly audits
- Meet daily with the Finance Manager on A/R status
- Request documentation as needed
- Reconcile A/R check copies and file appropriately
- Forward client invoice questions to the Finance Manager
- Handle TriWest billing calls
- Forward billing emails for review
- Assist with CCRC, TriWest & TCRC billing
- Maintain Active/Inactive client lists
- Work with offshore PR Specialist to issue invoices
- Lead weekly A/R meeting with Finance Manager & Director of Operations
- Weekly A/R reporting
- Order office inventory (SBC & WVC)
- Verify Invoice Totals Weekly Report and provide certified copy
- Bill & reconcile Tri‑Counties (PT‑1646 & PT‑1709)
- Bill CCRC monthly; process timesheets & vouchers
Account Receivable Specialist Key Focus Areas

Qualifications
- 1–2 years of Accounts Receivable or billing experience (healthcare preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills (phone and email)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Experience with Monday.com or similar workflow systems (preferred)
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Reliable, organized, and proactive in problem‑solving
