Job Description





This position is responsible for operating machines and performing PM's within the drill department (ie. Hitachi, Excellons, etc.)

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Process Engineers.
  • Works safely to prevent injuries and follows all standard operating procedures and company safety regulations.       
  • Works as part of a team to move product and assist other operators.                                                           
  • Notifies group leader, engineer or supervisor of any nonconformance product / tools.                          
  • Involvement with continuous improvement activities as needed.                                                                            
  • May be required to cross train in other departments.
  • This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.                                          
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

                       

Requirements:                                                                                                       

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.                                                     
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and team-building skills.
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for long periods up to eight or more hours at a time.
  • Positive interaction between co-workers and management.
  • Quality improvements experience a plus (ie. TQM or Six Sigma)               
  • Previous drill experience preferred.
