POSITION SUMMARY: The Office Specialist performs clerical, receptionist and medical records duties within the imaging department. Basic duties include receiving patients and visitors at the reception desk, registering patients and entering examination orders into the hospital information system, answering the phone, directing and transferring calls, and handling all Imaging medical records requests. This position also acts as a patient/customer service advocate to assist technologists as needed in patient transport, chaperon duties and preparation for biopsy procedures. All job duties are consistently carried out with a high level of attention to customer service and focus on patient care. Carries out all responsibilities in accordance with CPH’s core values and applicable policies and procedure.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- BLSP (CPR) from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
PREFERRRED:
- One year of general office experience
