Lead Software Engineer
THE ROLE:
- Part of R&D support team to AMD Embedded Architecture team
- Support quick prototypes of features being explored by AMD Embedded
- Understand requirement and document prototype results
- Assist validation of unexplored supported features and document gaps if any
- Transition prototypes to Engineering teams for POR delivery
- Ideate and participate in innovation / solutioning
- Present prototype / idea / solution in internal / public forums
THE PERSON:
- Versatile personality willing to shift quickly between projects
- Inspired to learn new technologies and quickly try their hands on it via protos
- Excellent communication skills to understand requirement and present prototype results
- Team player and capable of working across teams transparently
- Lead capability to plan, guide team members over project execution and monitor delivery
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Play to the role described as Lead contributor working with the team
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 12-16 years experience
- Hands-on and deep knowledge of Linux kernel, driver development
- Hands-on and deep knowledge of type 1,2 hypervisor like Xen, VMWare, VirtualBox, KVM/Qemu
- Hands-on and deep knowledge of VirtIO
- Knowledge of X86 virtualization
- C, C++, Python programming experience
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BE / B.Tech (CS/EEE/ECE) from premier institutes
- MS / M.Tech from premier institutes is a big plus
