Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Program set up and operate Hurco CNC vertical machines using conversational programming and GIBBS CAM software.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, short-run style production environment with frequent part changes.
  • Program new jobs while current parts are running to maximize machine utilization and throughput.
  • Produce precision parts to customer specifications and within acceptable production timeframes.
  • Follow and execute all written and verbal instructions from documentation, including Shop Travelers, Inspection Sheets, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform and document in-process inspections to ensure product quality.
  • Communicate promptly with Quality Control or Supervisor, regarding any part issues, non-conformances, or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of job activities including quantities, run times, and scrap data in both Shop Travelers and the ERP system.
  • Perform required preventative maintenance on assigned equipment; monitor machines for abnormal conditions and report issues to maintenance or leadership.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with JBT Machining Safety Policies.
  • Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all company safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Hurco conversational programming experience preferred but not required.
  • GibbsCAM experience preferred but not required.
  • 3axis and 4axis vertical mill experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • The ability to multitask on a wide variety of projects.

    Wage Range: $23.00 - $35.00/hour (depending on experience) 

    Shift: 1st (Monday-Thursday: 6am-4:30pm, Friday: 6am-11am)
