Part Time Floral Designer

Schedule: Part Time, flexible weekday and weekend availability required
Additional hours required during Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, and other peak floral seasons

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Floral Designer with a strong design foundation and industry knowledge to join our floral department. This individual should be confident in creating hand tied bouquets and custom arrangements independently while maintaining efficiency and quality standards.

The ideal candidate understands floral mechanics, seasonality, pricing awareness, and production workflow in a retail floral environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute custom floral arrangements for everyday and event orders
• Produce high quality arrangements efficiently during high volume holidays
• Consult with customers on floral selections and design styles
• Maintain strong knowledge of flower varieties, care, and substitutions
• Assist with inventory management and proper product rotation
• Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and design consistency
• Uphold cleanliness and organization within the design area

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a retail floral shop or floral studio required
• Demonstrated ability to create professional floral arrangements independently
• Strong understanding of floral mechanics, color theory, and composition
• Industry certifications such as AIFD or state floral association credentials are highly valued
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak seasons
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Weekend and holiday availability required
