Position Overview:
Under general direction and supervision of the Director of Planning & Community Development, this position works independently to implement the City's development standards, including zoning, land development, preservation, and other regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree supplemented by a minimum of three (3) years of experience in planning, zoning, building construction, engineering, geography, environmental studies, or another job-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Zoning Administrator must have a working knowledge of zoning law or past experience as a Zoning Administrator with site plan and blueprint reading abilities.
- Flood Plain Manager Certifications preferred, or ability to obtain and maintain post hire as required or directed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and GIS with the ability to learn other software such as BS&A, Forerunner, etc.
- Valid SC Driver's License.
