About the Department
Stark State College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Adjunct Instructor for Communications to join our dynamic faculty:
- Provide instruction in traditional and non-traditional modalities.
- Preparation of instructional materials.
- Assessment of student performance, including electronic submission of never attends, early alerts, midterm, and final grades by the required date.
- Have the ability to work with a wide range of different learning styles and backgrounds.
Position Duties
- Must be able to develop and implement innovative approaches to the learning environment.
- Must possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to function effectively and productively on team-based initiatives is critical.
- Ability to use technology that includes MS Office programs and internet-delivered materials is required.
- Will be required to complete all required training as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Communication or a related discipline and 18 graduate hours in Communication are required.
- Experience in college-level teaching is strongly preferred.
Other Qualifications
- Working hours will include days spent teaching at the Early College High School in Canton and possibly at other locations.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and continuous professional development is highly valued.
