Client Service Specialist
Location: 203A Log Canoe Circle, Stevensville, MD 21666-2128
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Hourly Rate: $21.00 - $26.00/hr

Hydrasearch is looking for a Client Service Specialist to join our team in Stevensville, MD! The Client Service Specialist will provide customer service and inside sales support for Hydrasearch customers.  Responsibilities will include order entry, generating quotations, stock requests, and responding to customer inquiries.  Strong communication skills with internal and external customers is highly valued.  A successful candidate will be highly organized, will be detail oriented, have a professional demeanor and have a positive attitude. We are looking to hire for these skills and are willing to train the individual for the specific tasks we require.

What You'll Do:

In this role, you are more than just a point of contact; you are a solutions provider. You will manage the lifecycle of client interactions—from initial inquiry and technical quoting to order fulfillment and post-delivery support. You will act as the bridge between our customers and our internal production and engineering teams to ensure every requirement is met with accuracy.

  • Inquiry Management: Respond to customer requests for quotes (RFQs) and provide information on product availability and lead times.

  • Order Oversight: Enter and manage orders within our ERP system, ensuring all technical and compliance specifications are documented.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production, Engineering, and Shipping departments to track order status and resolve potential delays.

  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve customer concerns regarding shipments, billing, or technical discrepancies with a professional, proactive approach.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous customer records and documentation in accordance with our quality management standards.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in a professional customer service or administrative role.

  • Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.

  • Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Outlook).

  • Attention to Detail: Proven ability to manage high volumes of data and complex orders without sacrificing accuracy.

  • Local Commute: Reliability to work on-site at our Stevensville, MD facility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Background: Experience working within a manufacturing, aerospace, maritime, or distribution environment.

  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to read basic blueprints or understand technical product specifications.

  • Systems Experience: Prior experience using ERP systems (e.g., Global Shop Solutions, SAP, or Oracle) and CRM software.

  • Advanced Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
