Job Description

This role will be responsible for leading and overseeing environmental monitoring activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project-specific environmental plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide leadership to a team of Qualified Environmental Persons (QEPs) and Environmental Monitors, including both Owner’s team and contractor personnel
  • Ensure all environmental monitoring activities are conducted in alignment with project permits and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee implementation and compliance with the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and Sediment Erosion Management Plan (SEMP)
  • Coordinate environmental activities between internal teams and contractors to maintain consistent standards and reporting
  • Monitor performance and provide guidance to ensure best practices in environmental management are followed
  • Identify and address any environmental risks or compliance issues in a timely manner
