Job Title: Infusion Nurse
Job Type: PRN
Travel: 0-15%

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree required
  • Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN); infusion certification required for LPNs
  • CPR certification required
  • At least one year of experience preferred

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide direct patient care, including administering prescribed medications and infusion therapies, while monitoring patient conditions and ensuring a seamless care experience. You will work closely with the Nurse Manager and the clinical team to assess patient needs, plan and adjust care, and educate patients about health maintenance and community support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and chart patient conditions, noting changes and responding to adverse reactions
  • Administer prescribed medications and intravenous fluids, recording details accurately
  • Measure and document vital signs such as height, weight, blood pressure, and respiration
  • Collect patient samples, including blood, as needed for testing
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, adoption of healthy behaviors, and available community resources
  • Assist in coordinating smooth transitions of care across multiple settings
  • Efficiently use health information systems to manage and improve patient care
  • Incorporate quality indicators and patient-specific variables into care plans
  • Discharge patients following the completion of therapies
  • Participate in team meetings and training to stay current on best practices and compliance requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
