The Commercial Manager will develop and maintain commercial leads within the Bulk, Dry bulk and MPP/project cargo segment, and be responsible for the revenue generated by these accounts. The role will involve nurturing relationships with legacy clients, managing their accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and finding ways to enhance client retention, operational efficiency and profitability through new product and service offerings and alternate revenues. The growth aspect is focused on acquiring new clients, exploring new markets and identifying strategic areas for development, with a focus on direct relations with commodity clients (i.e. mining companies, minor bulks, and breakbulk cargoes – coal, petcoke, soda ash, pellets, lumber etc.). The Commercial Manager should have a team-orientated mindset and be able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. They must have superior communications and time management skills, problem-solving ability, negotiation tactics, a solid understanding of the Maritime industry, and the ability to onboard new clients. |
