Position Summary

The Solutions Developer is a technical specialist within the Enterprise Systems team, focusing on the deep configuration, automation, and integration of Ellucian Banner Student and its associated ecosystem. This role bridges technical capabilities with institutional needs by building seamless data flows, automating complex business processes, and delivering

actionable data insights. The ideal candidate is a self-starter capable of managing projects

independently while collaborating directly with campus constituents to define application

specifications.

Responsibilities

Integrations & Data Connectivity

  • Implement and optimize robust integrations between core enterprise systems

and third-party applications using enterprise data connection tools.

  • Develop serverless APIs and manage event-driven data flows to ensure real-

time synchronization across the institutional ecosystem.

Process Automation

  • Engineer automated workflows using intelligent processing engines to

streamline cross-departmental tasks and approval routings.

  • Create and maintain no-code/low-code forms to improve data collection

    accuracy and operational efficiency.

Data Visualization & Delivery

  • Design, build, and test comprehensive data insight reports and dashboards to

    support strategic decision-making.

  • Unify disparate data sources within the institutional data lake to provide a single source of truth for campus constituents.

Personalized User Experience

  • Develop custom interface cards and widgets using modern SDKs to modernize

    business processes.

  • Ensure all developed interfaces and dashboards are SaaS-compliant and

deliver a personalized, role-based user experience.

Stakeholder Engagement & Independence

  • Partner with departmental constituents to gather, document, and translate

business requirements into technical application specifications.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

  • Five years of professional experience in software development, application integration, or system analysis.

  • Proven experience with enterprise-level integration platforms, data connection services, and web-based experience portals.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, React, or Node.js for front-end development and SQL for data modeling.

  • Strong analytical skills to re-engineer procedures and develop new data-driven strategies.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of the development lifecycle from initial concept through testing and final deployment.

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Previous experience working within a Higher Education environment.

  • Knowledge of Ellucian Products (e.g., Banner, Colleague, Ethos, Experience).
