As the DEERS Technician, you are responsible for operating and maintaining DEERS services, ensuring accurate processing of personnel records and maintaining site security
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide DEERS services including enrollment and record updates
• Operate within RAPIDS/DEERS systems
• Manage daily operations of the DEERS site
• Serve as Site Security Manager, ensuring accountability of materials and system access
• Complete required training and certifications (e.g., JKO)
• Provide customer service to military personnel and families
• Prepare and submit monthly workload reports
• Maintain compliance with all security and operational procedures
and compliance requirements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of one (1) year customer service experience in a professional office environment
• Ability to become certified as a DEERS/RAPIDS operator prior to unsupervised duties
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Knowledge of DEERS/RAPIDS systems and processes
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Customer service and communication skills
• Ability to manage secure systems and sensitive information
