SUMMARY

Responsible for oversight of the treatment team for the substance disorder programs with planning, implementing, administering and evaluating the care plan for all substance disorder patients. The program includes the outpatient clinics, and offsite MAT outpatient programs. Helps ensure treatment activates of the department follow standards of practice, department and hospital polices and procedure and regulatory standards such as HFAP, IDPH and the Department of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Rule 2060 of Illinois Administrative Rules.   


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Provides clinical supervision to recovery specialists and counselors in accordance with Rule 2060, IODAPCA and SUPRA standards of practice.
  2. Supervises and coordinates the activities of all team members assigned to the program.
  3. Conducts assessments, individual and group counseling sessions as needed.  
  4. Ensures professional team members provide, age specific individualized patient care, including but not limited to addressing their spiritual needs, cultural values, psychosocial needs and barriers to successfully completing treatment and determining a stable discharge plan.
  5. Provides administrative support by offering constructive suggestions for the improvement of patient care and the supervision of the program as his/her knowledge and experience warrant. Conducts compliance audits on documentation in program.
  6. Responsible for assisting in recruiting, hiring, adequate scheduling and discipline of team members.
  7. Assists in ensuring team member competence through proper orientation, training, supervision and evaluation, provides input in evaluation of team member performance.
  8. Assures that all intake logs, records and reports are current and provided to the Manager of Outpatient Services.
  9. Co-Facilities team member in-services on new policies, procedures, equipment and techniques for patients care.
  10. Along with the Quality Improvement team, responsible for scheduling, preparing and responding to any audits, reviews or compliance visits. Report all communications regarding program in real time to Manager of Outpatient Services.
  11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understands and adheres to Loretto Hospital’s compliance standards as they appear in the Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. 
  • Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Hospital regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. 
  • Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience performing intake or screening activities in an addiction’s treatment setting
  •  Experience working with insurance organizations and the utilizations review is essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or Allied health is preferred, but will accept an individual with at least 5 years as a CADC. Individual must be willing to take and pass the examination for CSADC within 2 years of hire date.

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Performing duties of this position requires walking, sitting, listening, writing and close and far vision. It may also involve pushing a patient in a wheelchair, lifting a patient in an emergency situation and lifting up to 100 pounds
