Description

Job Purpose: 

Industrial electricians are responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components and systems in factories, plants, and other industrial facilities.

What You’ll Do:

• Installing and wiring electrical systems, control panels, and industrial machinery. 
• Troubleshooting electrical issues using diagnostic tools and testing devices. 
• Performing preventive maintenance and inspections on transformers, circuit breakers, motors, and other equipment. 
• Reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to guide installations and repairs. 
• Ensuring compliance with National Electrical Code, state, and local regulations. 
• Conducting quality testing and documenting maintenance activities. 
• Collaborating with teams or working independently to complete projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, associate degree or vocational training. 
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent journeyman experience. 
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial equipment, and hand tools. 
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics. 
• Awareness of safety procedures and electrical codes. 
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. 
• Physical stamina to stand, climb, or crawl for extended periods and handle tools safely.
