Job Purpose

In your role as a Tire Technician you will work closely with the mechanics and other maintenance staff to ensure a vehicles are road ready in a timely and safe manner.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair tire issues on various waste management vehicle
  • Performs preventative maintenance on vehicles to enable minimal downtime
  • Perform tire rotations, alignments, and balancing as needed
  • Monitor tire pressure and tread depth regularly to ensure optimal performance
  • Executes work orders and turns into Maintenance Supervisor for company records
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure vehicle readiness
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications


The successful candidate profile includes:

  • 1-2 years experience working as a tire technician or similar role preferred
  • Familiarity with tire maintenance equipment and tools
  • Knowledge of tire types, sizes, and specifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check
  • Must be able to sit, kneel, crouch, stoop, crawl, balance, hear, talk and smell
  • Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
