The Home at Walpole seeks a Temporary Kitchen Manager for their residential and school campus.

How You'll Be Making a Difference

The Temp Kitchen Manager position has the following responsibilities:

    • Cooks and prepares healthy, well-balanced meals according to USDA/DESE Food Programs and HFLW menus.
    • Responsible for the overall management of food services on-site, including vendor ordering, stocking and stock rotation.
    • Receives and stores all food in compliance with food safety standards.
    • Maintains a clean and organized kitchen.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 – 3 years working in a large cooking/kitchen environment preferred.
  • ServSafe certification and Food Allergy Training required.
  • Skilled cook with ability to follow USDA recipes and prepare meals from a cycle menu.
  • Prior experience working in a residential/institutional kitchen preferred.
