Saint Edward’s School seeks a passionate and experienced Pre-K Teacher to join our Lower School community. The ideal candidate is an engaging educator who understands the developmental needs of young children and brings current or recent experience as a lead teacher in an early childhood classroom. This individual will foster a classroom culture rooted in exploration, kindness, and respect.

Teaching Duties

• Design and implement a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum that supports the whole child.
• Create a warm, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment where children feel known and valued.
• Lead daily instruction through a balance of structured learning, inquiry, and purposeful play.
• Support students’ social-emotional growth, independence, and positive peer relationships.
• Observe, assess, and document student progress to inform instruction and communicate growth.
• Partner with families through clear, consistent, and thoughtful communication.
• Collaborate closely with grade-level colleagues, assistants, and Lower School leadership.
• Contribute positively to the life of the school community.
• Familiarity with play-based, inquiry-driven, and workshop-style learning.
