Purpose of the job / Position description
•    To continuously improve product quality and reduce complaints
•    To make process, product, and procedural improvement to eliminate repeat complaints.  
•    To improve and monitor the quality related targets and tasks•    To manage relations and audits from external auditors (quality certifiers and customers) 
Main responsibilities
•    Develop plans to modernize the converting operation thus improving cost and quality.•    Applies lean manufacturing concepts to improve quality operational efficiency.
•    Instructs and facilitates the use of problem solving techniques & tools ranging from trend charting, formalized problem solving, standard operating practices, designed experiments to statistical process control.
•    Provides  cross coordination of activity with sister plant in Mount Holly Springs , PA
•    Must know ISO procedures relating to job and follow said procedures.
•    Provides supervision and direction of the quality department and the employees assigned to the quality team.
•    To improve product quality through process engineering, product modification, and control systems.  
•    To analyze customer complaints/claims and internal failures from analysis of root causes to identification of corrective  action plans and communication to customer
•    To analyze data and improve operations to reduce complaints, cost and waste, using statistical and other problem solving tools as appropriate
•    To collaborate closely with technical customer service to cascade customer’s products and process requirements in the plant
•    To interact with the plant labor force and promote product quality throughout the organization

•    Performs other projects and duties as assigned. 

*May require minimal travel; position is onsite.

•    Excellent supervisory and leadership skills to enhance and promote employee engagement
•    Applies good judgment and decision-making when analyzing data, complaints and resolutions
•    Good written and oral communications; follows up and follows through on communications to internal and external customers
•    Strong analytical skills and adaptive training styles for all audiences
•    Organized, detail-oriented, manages time effectively and collaborative
