- Previous experience teaching adults is preferred.
- Familiarity with crocheting & knitting as both a hobby and a craft for sale.
- Provide instruction in a classroom setting to adult students on crocheting & knitting techniques.
- Available to teach one evening per week for 3 weeks at a Tulsa Tech campus location.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
- Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
- Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
- Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
- Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
- Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. � prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)
- Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.
- Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.
