Summary
Orange County High is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to lead our Varsity Volleyball program as a full-time Head Coach. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the game, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the court. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive team culture, promoting sportsmanship, and ensuring the overall success of the program.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for the varsity volleyball team, focusing on skill development, strategy, and teamwork.
- Plan and conduct daily practices, ensuring effective use of time and resources.
- Oversee game preparation, including scouting opponents and developing game strategies.
- Manage all aspects of the volleyball program, including scheduling games, coordinating transportation, and organizing team events.
- Recruit and evaluate potential student-athletes, promoting the program within the school and community.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages personal growth and academic success.
- Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team progress and expectations.
- Collaborate with other coaches and athletic staff to promote a cohesive athletic program.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including those set forth by the school, district, and governing athletic bodies.
- Maintain equipment and facilities in accordance with safety standards.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level, particularly in volleyball preferred.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball techniques, rules, and strategies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their best.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the schedule of games and practices.
- Ability to pass a background check and fulfill any other employment requirements set by the school district.
