Job Description

Purpose and Importance of Position

Reporting to the Treasury Manager, will perform all the functions listed below in more complex accounting areas.  The person would be responsible to support the Accounting Manager with all financial reporting requirements and assist with special projects.

Specific Job Functions:

Treasury:

Assists with the quarter-end expense reporting process, including preparing budget vs. actual explanations for management review, and expense allocations.

  • Contributes to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.

Assists with the quarterly flux analysis of the balance sheet and income statement.

Prepares and reviews the monthly department expense reporting.

  • Prepares monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Assists with the quarter-end expense reporting and analysis for the CEO report.
  • Drives the quarterly inter/intracompany process by working closely with affiliates.
  • Prepares and supports ad-hoc projects as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Performs various accounting, financial reporting, and analyticalwork for RiverStone.
  • Participates andaids withtheinternal and externalaudit processes.
  • Monitors various activities and transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitors various aspects of assigned area for compliancewith internal and external requirements.
  • Proficient in theanalysis of financial data.
  • Communicates activity and transactionsto managementas appropriate.
  • Compiles and records recurring monthly transactions.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Responsible for the execution of required operational changes
  • Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Proactively seeks to improve processestomeet new requirements and improve operationalefficiency.
  • Assists with the day-to-day bankingand cash managementresponsibilities as needed.
  • Participates inspecial projectssuch asacquisitions, mergers,and dispositions.

Required Skills

  • Must be able to analyze financial results, identifydiscrepancies,and make corrections timely.
  • Requires technical and professional accounting skillswith competency in Accounting Theory.
  • Advanced analytical ability.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently.

  • Proven experience with coordination of multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines,and working productively and efficiently under pressure.

  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRSandStatutory).
  • Intermediate Excelknowledge.
  • Customer service oriented with the ability for developing long lasting relationships with internal and external business partners.

Experience

  • 2+ years ofaccounting experience.
  • Statutory and IFRS experiencewithin the insurance industrya plus.

Required Education

Four-year college degree in accounting or related field required.
