As a Senior Applications Administrator at Ellucian, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Atlassian Cloud and Datacenter applications Confluence, Jira and Bitbucket that power our business. As Ellucian continues its transformation into an AI-First organization, this role will make use of AI powered technologies including but not limited to Rovo to improve teams abilities and guide our internal partners in their use of these tools.
In this role, you will support the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our Atlassian applications while collaborating across engineering, development, professional services, operations, and security teams. Your work will help ensure that these teams make full use of these applications to operate effectively and efficiently.

- Atlassian Cloud Utilization: Promote and implement solutions that meet business and technical requirements. Apply established best practices and adhere and promote defined standards.
- Deployment & Configuration: Support the deployment, configuration and customization of projects, spaces, applications and services. Ensure smooth integration and consistent operation across environments.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for applications and assist in resolving complex issues. Work to minimize downtime and maintain reliability.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices to protect applications and data. Support compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor cloud and datacenter performance and identify areas for improvement. Use performance metrics and monitoring tools to help optimize services and enhance user experience.
- Automation & Optimization: Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline cloud operations. Contribute to ongoing efforts to improve efficiency, consistency, and reliability across environments.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation including user guides, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on industry trends and evolving technologies. Identify opportunities to enhance service quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, security, and data teams to ensure cloud solutions support business requirements, including AI-enabled functionality where applicable.
- Team Contribution: Share knowledge, provide peer guidance, and contribute to a collaborative and accountable engineering environment.
What you will bring
- 4-6 years of experience in Atlassian administration, preferably in SaaS environments
- Strong understanding of Atlassian best practices for usage and management of the applications.
- Moderate project management experience
- Strong understanding of configurations and customization for projects/spaces and work items.
- Strong understanding of Atlassian Guard and identity and access management
- Proficiency with cloud management tools and technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
