Senior IT Systems Engineer

馃搷 Washington, DC (On-site) 馃搶 Full-Time | Proposal-Based / Contingent Upon Award

Overview Synertex is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to support enterprise IT infrastructure, including hybrid cloud systems, identity management, and Microsoft 365 environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain IT systems and infrastructure
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID environments
  • Support identity and access management solutions
  • Manage system integrations across hybrid cloud environments
  • Ensure system performance, security, and reliability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
  • Support modernization and system optimization initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of IT systems engineering experience
  • Strong experience with:
    • Microsoft 365 administration
    • Entra ID (Azure AD)
    • Hybrid cloud environments
  • Experience supporting federal IT systems
  • One of the following certifications: Microsoft MCSE / Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) / Azure Solutions Architect / VMware VCP (active)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Cisco networking or firewall experience
  • Virtualization experience (VMware, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud migration or modernization efforts
  • Preferred certifications: Security+; CCNA; RHCE; ITIL v4
