Job Description

The Senior Service Manager is responsible for the supervision and leadership of the branch(s). He or she will effectively and efficiently manage the development and direction of the service team to drive revenue growth, productivity, quality assurance and promote a high level of customer satisfaction. The Senior Service Manager’s responsibilities will also include the assurance of accurate service materials and inventory controls, vehicle management, facility management, proper staffing, and other responsibilities tied to branch operations. Also, the Service Manager will be responsible for the financials of the branch(s), i.e.: full Profit & Loss Statement (P&L).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the Service department’s operations and scheduling.
  • Manage quality assurance - setting quality standards, maintaining quality of all service activities.
  • Ensure completion of service routes, installations & other service appointments and must be able to perform these functions in this start up branch.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals for all Service department staff.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to all subordinate staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery of services.
  • Oversee and direct branch resources and workforce issues for the organization.
  • Monitor departmental performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made, and that corrective action is taken if necessary.
  • Responsible for appropriate staff levels to meet requirements of the branch(s) per directives set forth by the regional director.
  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring, termination and performance management.
  • Manage the morale of the team by setting and demonstrating strong business ethics in dealing with employees, suppliers, customers, and colleagues across all departments.
  • Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate quicker improvements.
  • Builds on working relationships within the branch, within the region, across departments and with customers.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance and develop policies, procedures, and service systems to meet the goals of the department.
  • Measure and monitor key indicators of the services delivered.
  • Ensure that all reporting employees adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility, including service vehicles.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety policies and practices including proper maintenance and safety inspections of service vehicles.
  • Manage the financials of the branch(s) to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual budgets are met per the P&L Statements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Clean Drivers abstract
  • Minimum High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent; University degree is an asset.
  • 5 years + experience in a leadership role with direct reports (i.e.: people management).
  • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control techniques and procedures.
  • Background in a service industry.
  • Experience with systems and platforms such Excel, Salesforce and other CRM, HR and Routing platforms.
  • Previous management experience in a technical environment with proven leadership abilities is considered an asset.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment is considered an asset.
  • A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization is considered an asset.
  • Experience with route logistics operations is considered an asset.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to identify key issues and creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles.
  • Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.

Expected Total Compensation: $75,000 - $103,500
