Role Overview
The Production Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high sanitation and hygiene standards across all production areas within the Condell Park manufacturing site. This role ensures equipment, production lines and work environments remain clean, safe and compliant with food safety, quality and WHS requirements. The position also requires strong attention to detail, reliability, self‑motivation, good communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to workplace safety and food quality.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Equipment Cleaning
• Clean production lines, tanks, fillers, conveyors and related equipment (scheduled and unscheduled).
• Perform CIP (Clean-in-Place) and COP (Clean-out-of-Place) processes according to documented procedures.
• Ensure cleaning meets food safety, GMP and quality standards.
• Safely disassemble and reassemble equipment for deep cleans.
Workplace Hygiene & Sanitation
• Maintain cleanliness of production areas, floors, drains, waste stations and amenities.
• Follow sanitation schedules and record completion accurately.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely in line with SDS requirements.
Compliance & Safety
• Follow all WHS, HACCP, GMP and site-specific protocols.
• Report hazards, equipment faults or contamination risks immediately.
• Assist with hygiene and sanitation processes to maintain site cleanliness and ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
Teamwork & Communication
• Work collaboratively with production operators and maintenance technicians.
• Communicate any issues or barriers to completing sanitation tasks.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
• Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and safety instructions
• Basic understanding of chemical handling and PPE requirements
• Physically fit; able to perform repetitive tasks, lifting, and work in wet environments
• Experience in beverage manufacturing or FMCG (Desirable)
• Previous cleaning experience in manufacturing, food processing or similar environments (Desirable)
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and WHS standards
• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
Working Conditions
• Rotating shifts may be required.
• Work involves wet environments, chemicals, and physical tasks.
• PPE must be worn at all times in production zones.
