We are seeking a friendly Laundry Attendant to join our team at TownePlace Suites and Fairfield Inn Haverhill. This is a part time position located in Haverhill, MA. In this position you will be responsible for safely and efficiently cleans all linens and towels and ensure all room amenities are stocked to specified standards ensuring guest satisfaction, while maintaining daily operations of the laundry room and assisting where needed.

We are seeking a friendly Laundry Attendant to join our team at TownePlace Suites and Fairfield Inn Haverhill. This is a part time position located in Haverhill, MA. In this position you will be responsible for safely and efficiently cleans all linens and towels and ensure all room amenities are stocked to specified standards ensuring guest satisfaction, while maintaining daily operations of the laundry room and assisting where needed.

 

Work Performed 

As part of the housekeeping and laundry team, the Laundry Attendant is tasked with providing an uninterrupted supply of clean linens for the entire hotel, through the process of sorting dirty linen, washing, ironing, folding, and stacking. 

  • Assist the Housekeeping department in collecting soiled linen from rooms and distributing clean linen 
  • Separate, wash, dry, and fold items according to prescribed methods 
  • Prepare Room Attendant’s inventory orders for delivery
  • Monitor/replenish chemicals used in laundry equipment  
  • Clean dryer lint traps to prevent risk of fires 
  • Report cases of equipment damage or maintenance cases to supervisor promptly  
  • Report and return any guest properties that were left behind 
  • Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order 
  • Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest needs 
  • Be polite, courteous, and helpful to all guests and coworkers
  • Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management 

 

Requirements 

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk up and down flights of stairs carrying up to 15 lbs (for locations that do not have an elevator)
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks safely and efficiently
  •  Hours required: Part time hours per week for AM, MID, and PM shifts.
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times

 

Compensation 

$18 Hourly
