Job Overview
Pulling parts for weld bays.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively observe and promote BWISE Safety Standards.
- Follow weld bay schedule provided by P.C. Office.
- Obtain specifications for trailer from pull sheets.
- Pull correct part numbers and quantities for line side material presentation (some require manual manipulation)
- Handle material using forklift.
- Pull and stage weld line material presentation both racks and carts prior to line change over
- Pull and stage weld line fixture for change over
- Notify supervisor of known part shortages prior to impact to weld lines
- Replenish weld shop material storage from delivery or secondary storage location
- Assist with inventory control.
- Other duties, as assigned by Weld Supervisor.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- You must be capable of standing for entire shift and sitting for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift-up to 50 lbs.; ability to demonstrate full range of motion for reaching, bending, kneeling, and stooping.
- Will be exposed to extreme heat and cold depending on weather.
- Subject to dirt, dust, oil, welding fumes, traffic hazards, and high noise levels in the workplace
PPE Requirements
- Steel-toed shoes or composite shoes
- Safety glasses
- Earplugs
- Gloves when handling any material
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write, count, and communicate by various channels.
- Ability to read a tape measure to a 1/16”
- Ability to multitask
