Position Overview
The Clerk 3 (ADM04) plays a key administrative and operational support role within the Public Works department. Reporting under broad supervision, this position involves performing a variety of assignments that require specialized knowledge, sound judgment, and decision-making—particularly when handling exceptions to established policies and procedures.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounting transactions and manage SAP-related activities
  • Handle and process access permits efficiently and accurately
  • Supervise and provide direction to administrative or clerical staff as required
  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure smooth workflow
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Verify and process documents in accordance with established procedures
  • Manage inventory tracking and control
  • Coordinate distribution of inter-office mail and communications
  • Address administrative issues and resolve discrepancies using judgment and established guidelines

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Completion of Grade XI (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of four (4) years of related experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience with SAP or similar financial systems is an asset
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
