Job Description

 

What You’ll Do:
Your main job is to keep everyone safe at the pool. You’ll provide surveillance, help prevent accidents, and respond if there’s an emergency. You’ll also help keep the pool area clean and make sure everyone follows the rules.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Be friendly — greet and talk to pool members and guests.

 

  • Scan your zone carefully to make sure everyone stays safe.

 

  • Help keep the pool and surrounding area safe and clean.

 

  • Remind people of pool rules in a respectful way.

 

  • Respond quickly and calmly in emergencies (like if someone is struggling in the water).

 

  • Help with cleaning and other tasks your manager asks for.

 

  • Stay in shape and keep up your swimming and lifeguard skills.




Training & Requirements:

  • Must have or obtain a current lifeguard certification before Memorial Day. StarGuard certification is provided for free to SwimSafe Employees.

 

  • You’ll need to attend regular training sessions with SwimSafe to keep your skills sharp.

 

  • Customer service experience (like working with people) is helpful but not required.

 

  • You MUST be at least 15 years old by May 2026



Physical Requirements:
This job involves standing, walking, talking, hearing, and watching people closely.

You might have to lift things that weigh up to 50 pounds (like pool equipment).
