Responsibilities:
- Understanding of pulmonary function laboratory operations.
- Demonstrates proficiency in patient assessment, clinical aerosol medication delivery and emergency management procedures, related to the performance of diagnostic pulmonary function testing.
- Calibration, operation and performance of diagnostic pulmonary function testing equipment.
- Basic computer skills, Epic EMR for documentation and scanning reports.
- Knowledge of accepted standards, policies, procedures, staff responsibilities and instrumentation related to the provision of diagnostic pulmonary function testing.
- Performs and documents 6-minute walk tests.
- Patient/ Family Education as related to PFT testing, medication delivery systems, devices and Disease state management.
*Office practices in accordance with CDC guidelines for infection control and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy from a Respiratory Therapy education program accredited by CoARC is required.
- New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician or Respiratory Therapist license required.
- Current BLS through the American Heart Association.
- Basic computer skills.
- 3+ years of experience preferred.
USD $45.43 - USD $61.44 /Hr.
CRT salary range is $45.43- $52.22/ hour
RRT salary range is $53.45- $61.44/ hour
