Do you have a strong background in tax, and are you excited to deepen your expertise in an international environment? Are you curious to explore questions like: What are the tax implications of our activities across multiple European countries? How do upcoming regulatory changes impact our business? And how can we further strengthen our tax compliance framework across Europe?
For our European finance organization, we are looking for a proactive and hands on Senior Tax Controller. In this role, you will support all European legal entities from our headquarters in Amersfoort and serve as a key advisor on corporate income tax, wage tax, VAT, customs and broader tax compliance topics. You will also lead and coach one team member within the European Tax Control team.
As Senior Tax Controller, you will work closely with various departments such as Finance, Payroll, HR and our U.S. tax colleagues, and act as the sparring partner for managers across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Ensure tax compliance across all European entities
• Advise on corporate income tax, wage tax, VAT and customs topics
• Lead and coach one team member in the European Tax Control team
• Review tax returns and tax related reports before submission
• Identify and drive tax related process improvements
• Support tax audits and monitor changes in tax legislation
• Collaborate with internal departments and the U.S. tax team on tax matters


What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar
• 3–5 years of experience in a tax department, preferably in an international environment or at a well known accountancy firm
• Strong knowledge of Dutch tax law and the ability to apply tax regulations across different European countries
• Ability to analyze financial data and translate it into clear conclusions
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch (additional European languages are a plus)
• Experience in people management is preferred.
