Job Description

Position Title: ESY 2026 K-8 OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST


Position Overview 


Provide consultation and direct OT services to K-8 students who require an Extended School Year (ESY), per their Individualized Education Program (IEP). Student IEP goals may include needs related to visual perception, motor proficiency, social skills, handwriting, activities of daily living, self-feeding, fine motor, sensory processing, eating, self-care and organization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:



  • Provide direct services to students as indicated on IEP

  • Support students with a range of OT needs including but not limited to perceptual/sensory/motor/developmental delay or underlying impairments that limit/prevent a student from accessing the educational curriculum

  • Coordination of related service and services only student appointments

  • Provide direct or consultative services; modify or adapt school environments, tools, or materials as needed in order to support a student in accessing the educational curriculum and environment as independently as possible


 


Qualifications



  • MA Occupational Therapist licensure required

  • Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment

  • Experience with students with complex developmental needs/ASD highly preferred


 


Schedule:



  • July 6, 2026 - July 30. 2026

  • 9:00 -12:00, Monday - Thursday

  • All staff report for a full day on July 6th for orientation and classroom set-up. Students begin on July 7th

  • Additional 30 minutes per day for planning

  • Teachers will submit hours on their timesheet for an additional 5.5 hours between July 10th and August 12th for writing student progress reports.
