- Provide training to students to meet student needs such as but not limited to: social skills, behavior control, social communication, interpersonal skills, coping skills.
- Reports student concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Perform observations and take data related to student behavior and emotional issues.
- Attends school meetings concerning assigned students.
- Provides tutorial assistance.
- Assists students in organizing materials and class assignments.
- Listens and resolves student issues and/or refers to the Building Principal.
- Provides prompts to assist student in managing behavior.
- Furnishes guidelines and prompts to assist the student in appropriate social behavior.
- Functions as a member of a team of people providing assistance to the student.
- Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- Has regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

This is a part-time position.
This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 251.

Performance of this position will be evaluated by the Building Administrator and/or Director of Student Services.
