Job Description

Job Overview: Have you recently completed training in an Automotive Program, Engineering or are you a mechanic looking to transition from the garage?  Join our Quality Department as a Failure Analysis Specialist, where you will be looking for opportunities to improve the product by performing failure-mode analysis of diesel and or Gas engines to determine root cause failure for the warranty return and do extensive research and testing to determine manufacturing or parts failures causing warranty failure.  We are looking for individuals with experience and knowledge with diesel and or gas engine applications. 

Key Job Responsibilities: 

  • Familiar with diesel and gas engine applications 
  • Perform failure mode analysis of units to determine root cause for warranty returns
  • Extensive research and testing to determine and correct the failure mode
  • Maintain records of inspection results
  • Initiation and completion of A3 projects
  • Recognizing and nominating quality problems for solutions
  • Working with manufacturing group leaders and Quality Captains on specific quality issues of the product 

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Automotive Technology Degree or similar preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with engines
  • Problem-solving skills/critical thinking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • A highly collaborative mindset and an ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced rapidly changing atmosphere
  • Knowledge and ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Tools, including Excel preferred
