AmeriPro EMS is seeking a reliable and safety-focused EMS Driver to support ambulance operations and patient care activities. This role is responsible for the safe operation of emergency vehicles, assisting with patient movement, maintaining ambulance readiness, and ensuring compliance with all state EMS regulations and company policies. The EMS Driver plays a critical role in supporting field crews and ensuring high standards of professionalism, readiness, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate ambulance vehicles while responding to dispatched emergency and non-emergency calls in accordance with state laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist clinical staff with patient movement, lifting, and positioning to support safe and effective patient care.
  • Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and equipment checks of the ambulance to ensure operational readiness and report deficiencies promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with all required EMS Driver and EMR licenses, certifications, and mandatory training requirements.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, including Patient Care Reports (PCRs), billing forms, exposure reports, incident reports, and unit check-offs.
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment placed in service meet all applicable state EMS rules, licensing standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, conduct, and state of readiness while on duty and when representing AmeriPro EMS.
  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance, participate in mandatory meetings and training, and support team operations as assigned.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • Frequently is required to stand and walk
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, stand, or balance
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 180 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 300 pounds with assistance from others
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute instructions in English


Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Ability to safely operate the ambulance vehicle while responding to dispatched emergency and non-emergency calls in accordance with state traffic laws and regulations as well as company policy
  • Ability to read and interpret local maps

 

Certification & Licensure Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification
  • Current CPR: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Valid State driver's license
  • Driving Record in compliance with state regulations and company policy
  • Emergency Vehicle Operator Cours (EVOC) or equivalent certification (can be obtained through AmeriPro)
  • Insurable under AmeriPro policy and standards of operation
