ABOUT THE ROLE

GILLIG's accounting department is looking for a bright, dedicated individual to temporarily join our team of Accounts Payable Specialists. As the Accounts Payable Specialist, your work will show professional attitude, good organization and communication skills, and collaboration. You will be able to process a high volume of invoices for payment with proper documentation and authorization, as well as responding to internal and external inquiries as necessary.

GILLIG’s Finance team seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist that will play an integral part in ensuring the timely invoicing of outstanding payables. You will thrive in a fast-paced work environment, have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and will report to the Staff Accountant.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Execute the review and obtain proper authorization to assure timely and accurate payments
  • With the review of monthly statements and reports maintain a transparent & accurate balance with vendors
  • Maintain GILLIG records by utilizing your organization skills
  • Respond to internal & external inquires by using your communication skills
  • Seek resolution for payables disputes by leveraging your negotiation skills
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with to enabling payables processing and payment were applicable
  • Perform other duties, as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree with a concentration in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum 3 years of accounts payable experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and concern for accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk and occasionally kneel or squat
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to navigate manufacturing environment, comfortable around heavy machinery, tools, etc.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, (i.e. safety glasses, bump caps, hearing protection, etc.)
  • Standard start time 5:00 AM (negotiable)

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

 $25.63 - $31.23/hour

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
