The Pool Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to members and guests in the outdoor pool and patio areas. This role prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering a high level of hospitality and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized bar environment. The Pool Bartender contributes to a fun, relaxed atmosphere while ensuring responsible alcohol service and compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to members and guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including counters, equipment, and storage areas.
- Set up and break down the bar area before and after service.
- Accurately enter orders and process payments through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Monitor member and guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service.
- Restock bar supplies, including glassware, garnishes, mixers, and beverages.
- Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and pool leadership to ensure smooth service operations.
- Follow all club policies, safety procedures, and service standards.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience required, preferably in a high-volume or outdoor service environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Valid Food Handler and TABC certification required within 30 days of hire date.
Work Schedule Requirements
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Seasonal position running from June 2 through September 7, 2026.
