We�re looking for an Entry IT Systems Administrator to help keep our technology running reliably across the Lynden Door family of companies. This role supports day-to-day IT operations by maintaining servers, networks, backups, and user services�ensuring our teams have the tools they need to do their best work.

What You�ll Do

  • Install, update, monitor, and maintain servers and IT infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and support helpdesk and system-related issues
  • Manage system backups and basic disaster recovery processes
  • Assist with phone system setup and maintenance
  • Learn and support networking to help resolve outages and performance issues
  • Work closely with other IT Administrators and Engineers to ensure systems run smoothly

HOURS: Monday-Friday, Day Hours (40 hours/week), additional off-hours as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier II helpdesk support, resolving or escalating tickets as needed and working with vendors when appropriate
  • Learn, support, and troubleshoot the company�s networking and server infrastructure
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of IT systems, hardware, and equipment
  • Manage user accounts, access, and IT assets, including Active Directory and asset tracking
  • Assist with system updates, patches, application testing, and backups to ensure reliability
  • Help monitor and maintain production, test, and development environments, identifying issues before they impact users
  • Collaborate with IT Administrators and Engineers while supporting department goals, organization, and occasional after-hours work

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist with training and issue resolutions.
  • Strong understanding of IT concepts, practices, and technology.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing tasks and projects.
  • Satisfactory understanding of �change management� practices.
  • Satisfactory knowledge of Windows AD services and their effects on users and peripherals.
  • Satisfactory knowledge of IP telecom systems and protocols, specifically Mitel/ShoreTel.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Perl), and web languages (PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and XML).
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCPIP), wiring (Cat6+, optical fiber), and infrastructure (switches, routers, and peripherals).

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE: Associate or bachelor�s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Process, Business Administration, Project Management, or related fields

TRAVEL: Minimal local travel with occasional trips to branch office locations or conferences
