$2,022.03 to $2,224.23 biweekly.  Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.  Government Center/Viera.  Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Performs skilled professional work in monitoring, maintaining, reviewing, and analyzing all financial records, including the budget, for the Utility Services department and involves extremely large sums of money.  Employees in this classification are responsible for the independent maintenance of complex accounting records which requires familiarity with the functions, policies, and practices of the specific area to which assigned.  May supervise subordinate staff.

 

REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field PLUS two (2) years of professional experience in accounting or a closely related field.  Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.  SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.  In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
