The Position

Reporting to the Manager, Product Design, this role is an integral part of a team that is directly connected to our customers, working in partnership with Product Managers and Engineers to design experiences into our products that our customers will love. You will lead the design of high-quality, user-centered software products, taking ownership of design work from discovery through to delivery and play a key role in shaping product direction through research, design, evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

•    Cultivate an expert level of understanding of the needs of our customers and the behavior of our users.
•    In partnership with Product Managers and Engineers, engage in user research to develop personas, models of behavior, and actionable insights.
•    Plan and drive user experience design activities, providing expert advice and guidance to support the adoption of agreed approaches.
•    Plan and drive the creation of wireframes, mock-ups, flows, and prototypes using design tools such as Figma.
•    Manage user experience evaluation of systems, products, services, or devices.
•    Design AI-enabled product experiences where relevant, ensuring they are useful, usable, trustworthy, and grounded in real customer needs.
•    Work as a first-class partner with Product Management and Engineering.
•    Communicate design rationale clearly and credibly using evidence from research, product usage, evaluation, and customer feedback.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

•    A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Product Design or a related field is essential.
•    7 years relevant experience required.
•    Significant experience working in Product Design within a commercial software product company.
•    Strong experience working in partnership with Product Management and Engineering.
•    Strong capability in user research, interaction design, visual design, and user experience evaluation.
•    Strong communication skills and the ability to influence decisions across cross-functional teams.
•    Experience designing or contributing to AI-enabled product experiences, or clear readiness to work in this space.
•    Self-starter who works with a high level of accountability and judgment.
