Welding Technology Lab Specialist Instructor

 

Location: Heber, UT

Status: Part-time

Hours: MondayThursday; flexible schedule

Pay/Salary: $26.49/Hour

 

Summary

 

As a Welding Lab Specialist Instructor at MTECH, you will play a vital role in developing the next generation of skilled welders. This position provides an opportunity to support instructors, mentor students, and maintain a safe and productive learning environment in the Welding Lab. By assisting with demonstrations, supervising lab activities, and encouraging safety practices, you'll help students build confidence and develop the technical skills needed to succeed in the field. This is an exciting opportunity to share your welding knowledge, make a positive impact, and contribute to the success of both students and the program.

What You'll Do:

 

Responsibilities of the Welding Lab Specialist Instructor include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Supervise activity in the Welding Lab.
  • Provide welding demonstrations for the students.
  • Enforce housekeeping and safety procedures.
  • A variety of duties to assist instructors and students.

 

What We're Looking For:

 

  • Education Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: Two or more years of hands-on welding experience.
  • Qualifications: Must pass Qualification and SENSE written tests within six months of employment.
  • Industry Certifications: Must obtain the OSHA 10 Certification within six months of employment.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Must have a strong background in welding techniques and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
