As Vice President of Generation Reliability, you will play a critical leadership role in carrying that legacy forward by ensuring our power plant operations run flawlessly. This role leads plant engineering, support services, and environmental functions to ensure safe, efficient, and fully compliant operations. You’ll drive strategy, optimize performance, and build a high-performing team focused on operational excellence. At LCRA, we are driven by the call to serve others. How You’ll Contribute:
  • Set and implement strategic operational plans that strengthen generation reliability and performance.
  • Ensure safe, dependable plant operations, including emergency preparedness and response.
  • Establish performance standards and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory bodies (ERCOT, NERC, FERC, RRC, DOT, DOE).
  • Provide technical guidance and quality control standards across power generation, gas storage and related functions.
  • Oversee departmental budget and financial performance, ensuring cost effective operations.
  • Build and manage key internal and external partnerships, representing LCRA as needed. 


How You’re Qualified:
  • Fourteen or more years of experience in power plant operations, maintenance, engineering, planning and construction, a field requiring uninterruptable business operations, or other relevant experience, including five or more years of management experience. A degree(s) in power generation, engineering, business, science, math or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Driver's license
